HTML/CSS
HTML is the most rudimentary scripting language on which almost all of my projects have depended; it has evolved so much over the years. And when CSS came on the scene in the mid '90s, it changed how everyone built websites. Where my pages used to include basic tags with lots of attributes, the code is now more streamlined and addresses important issues of accessibility, compatability and web standards.
