There is something about having only one last day that can motivate you. We woke early to have a simple breakfast in the B&B dining room, then got in the car, swung by the Bean to get an americano and say goodbye to John (the man who's always there playing Scrabble), then headed east on Milestone Road. At Polpis we veered north, and again at Wauwinet we veered north ending at the point we'd been turned away from before, the Wauwinet Inn. Mike locks up the car on the side of the road. There is no other parking.
